The Bazaar at Border Station began as an idea of a group of successful San Diego businessmen that realized the need of an open air discount venue just steps from the border. The San Diego/Tijuana border is one of the busiest border crossings in the world, with over 44,000 people crossing daily. The partners saw the tremendous business potential an outlet such as the Bazaar would have, for both the wholesale as well as the retail market.

On June 24, 2009 the Bazaar at Border station opened its doors with 115 vendor spaces.

Now, in its first year of operation, the Bazaar has been very successful in attracting both high quality vendors as well as a constant flow of customers from both sides of the border. The Bazaar at Border Station is San Diego's Premier Swap Meet.
